Reflection Blog

So far this year, my blogging has changed in many ways. Most of my blogs have improved with word choice, grammar and punctuation. In my first couple of blogs, I noticed that I had spelling errors and grammar errors. The latest blogs barely have any of those mistakes, which shows me that I have improved. I think that blogging gives me an opportunity to reflect on what I am reading, and it helps me understand more about the book. I actually get the chance to record what I think, and what I notice is right or wrong. For 3rd and 4th quarter, I think I need to work on putting more details into my blogs and making sure that people can understand what I am saying. My favorite part about blogging is that we actually have to make the blog our own, and it teaches me that every single blog is different.

My favorite blog of this year so far is one from the week of: 2/3/14. I think that this is my favorite blog because the prompt I used helped me the most, and it is probably the best one that I have written. I use specific details and I like the graphics that I used. My other blogs have been good, but they didn't stand out to me. I enjoyed writing my favorite blog post because it was interesting, and while I was reading the book it was also really interesting. It was a part that made me want to read more. I enjoyed writing this blog a lot because it was actually one that I was drawn to write. I was excited to write it, and I didn't wait until the last minute.

For this blog, I really liked the prompt I had to explain. I had to compare Divergent and The Hunger Games. I compared Tris and Katniss, and how they were alike and different.  really enjoyed this because I love both series and they both have a strong female role. Both of the character do things that most main characters wouldn't do. That's why this blog was so exciting to me. I was actually writing about something that I truly liked. In this blog, I also talked about how authors can create characters and make them their own. In both of these books there is an unexpected ending, or an ending that doesn't tell you what you are asking.
