Prompt: Reflect on your reading.
Pages Read: 210-261
To be honest, I definitely could be reading a lot more, but I have been so busy lately. I thought, we it got cold, things would slow down. I guess not. Anyway, back to reading. I am enjoying this book a lot because it is really easy to relate to. She has a really close guy friend that she cares about, but when he is in trouble she doesn't know what to do. Jacob has become "sick" and she is not allowed to come by him, or go to his house to check on him. She is so confused that she snuck by his house to check on him, and got caught. I found this a little funny because they told her not to go there, and that's exactly what she did.
I think that I have been actually reading for understanding instead of reading to get it done. I'm trying to extend my vocabulary and I think reading books that are a little more mature could help that process. I believe that reading can really help with helping vocabulary, and learning different situations for different people's lives. New Moon does a great job with those things. I have learned that no one's life is gonna be perfect, and there are worse things in the world. She dated a vampire, and now she's falling for a werewolf? What kind of book is this? No, not book. What kind of life is that? I feel so bad for her right now because people are lying to her, and she doesn't really have many people in her life except those guys.
Bella once said "Time passes. Even when it seems impossible. Even when each tick of the second hand aches like the pulse of blood behind a bruise. It passes unevenly, in strange lurches and dragging lulls, but pass it does. Even for me." I think this means that everything has been messing up in her life, but some things can still stay the same. See, if I would have finished the book in two weeks, I probably wouldn't have been able to fully understand that statement.
Let's focus on blogging on other topics besides reflecting and summary. Take a look at my different topics on my blog.:)
