New Moon Week of: 10/13/14

Pages Read: 0-132
Prompt: Character Development

New Moon has one character that changes the most throughout the book. That, of course, is Bella Swan. She is the most boring person you will ever meet in your whole entire life. She follows whatever you do, and she doesn't really have an opinion in most decisions she might have to make. She doesn't really care about anything except for Edward, so this makes her a very "interesting" character. She goes to school, come home, eats, and then does nothing but think. I like her as a character, but she needs a little bit more of a personality. Or is that the authors idea?

Edward left her. He thought it was best for her, and he left. Ever since he was gone, her life had flipped and this really affected her attitude and her actions. She has been more tired, and sad, than happy and excited. He was her everything, and without him, she is nothing. She used to be so happy and normal, now she is as dead as a zombie. She changed over time, and it is really obvious to the reader. In Twilight  she was so cheerful, and in this book, it is a totally different story for her.

Character development in this book is a really big deal with all of the problems going on. Bella's dad is thinking about sending her back with her mom in Florida, Edward and his family are gone and she can not find out where they went, and her friends aren't really confident in their friendship. Everyone is seeing her change and it is affecting the way they look at her, and the way they act around her. This change that she is going through can be good and bad. It could teach her something, or it could just show that she is depressed. I can't wait to finish the book, and figure out how she changes again!
