Prompt: Describe what you recently just read.
Pages Read: 0-19
I have been wanting to read this book for a long time, I just never got to it. Now that I am finally reading, I am really excited to continue. This book is about a girl named Macy and her boyfriend is going to a camp for 6 weeks. They have been together for a year and a half, and she seems really happy. She really doesn't know what she is going to do during the next year and a half. When they said their goodbyes she wasn't very happy, he just walked off after he said bye. She felt like she was never going to see him.
When I stopped reading, she was explaining her past and how it changed her. She was talking about her father and how her dad left. She was also talking about how she met Jason and how he changed her life. They met in math class, and she acted as if she was so confused so he had to help her. The way she explained the way she felt was really cool, because I felt like I was in her shoes. She used great words and details.
I like Macy as a character because she seems like a typical high school girl. She doesn't act like a popular girl, and she is herself around other people. She has problems and doubts like every girl does. I like the way she holds her self and the way she presents herself. She's confident and she knows what to do in a hard time. I think that Macy and Jason make a really good couple because they are alike and different in so many ways. The long distance thing, may not work forever though.

What got you interested in reading this book? Seems to me that her boyfriend just really didn't have as much feelings for her anymore if that was his reaction to saying bye. Macy does sound like an interesting character. I'm glad that she found someone that could comfort her. I hope the rest of book turns out amazing. Great blog!
ReplyDeleteI've heard about Sarah Dessen and this novel! I've been wanting to read it for a while now. Maybe after we finish reading it we can discuss about it? What do you think about the tittle, The Truth About Forever, seems very appropriate.
