Prompt: Describe the major conflict. What side are you on?
Pages Read: 120-276
One of the biggest conflicts is that Macy and Jason broke up, and she is really lost. She might like this new guy, but she is still not over Jason. She thinks about why he broke up with her and it really hurts her. In front of people she acts totally normal, like it doesn't effect her. Then, when she is alone, it kills her inside. She really liked him, and when she goes to her job at the library, it reminds her of him. He worked there for such a long time, and she would always go and visit her. I think that I am on Jason's side for this situation. He tried to do what is best for her, and he wanted her to be happy. He knew that if they weren't together for such a long time, it would hurt her more.
Another problem is that Jason might be seeing other people. Macy is worried that he would move on from her, and forget. Macy thinks that they are taking a "break", but I think that Jason feels different. If I were in Macy's position, I might think the same thing, but I would have to remember that they aren't together any more. Then I would get over the fact that they aren't a thing anymore. For this one, I think I would be on Macy's side because she has the right to be jealous or protective. They just broke up, and maybe he has moved on.
In this book, I would change a lot of things. Sometimes I think about how the characters react and how they do things to show their emotions. Macy talks to her mom a lot, but sometimes I feel like she doesn't have a friend to vent to. I feel bad because she doesn't really have anyone. I feel bad for her, when Jason is out having fun at a camp far far away. I think Macy truly loves Jason, but he doesn't know...
I like the pictures you included in your blog matches your description perfectly! What I liked most was that for different conflicts you advocated different characters on different situations. Then you explicitly described why you chose that. Good blog post!
ReplyDeleteI really loved your blog this week. I feel like a lot of people can relate to Macy because we can all say that we acted like everything was perfect when something was really bothering us inside. So is this book, like all based around this couple, or are there other people and conflicts involved?
